About SearchIRC Revival

The IRC Search Engine

SearchIRC Revival indexes public IRC networks, discoverable chatrooms and aggregate channel statistics. Its interface is inspired by the classic SearchIRC directory. This is an independent reimplementation, not affiliated with the historical SearchIRC service.

Data are collected periodically through standard IRC protocol replies. Secret/private channels and data restricted by networks are not indexed. Statistics reflect completed snapshots and may be delayed. Networks can request exclusion through the site administrator.

The original SearchIRC also featured forums, quotes, user accounts, editorial pages and third-party integrations. Those are not yet implemented here.
